Parts of iPad 3 Leaked, Apple Sticks with the Same 30-Pin Dock Connector!
A Japanese website named Makotakara has got its hands on a couple of iPad 3 parts, which it considers to be the components of iPad 3 prototype. These parts have been ordered from a website named TVC-Mail.com. Makotakara refers parts as “replacement parts”, which include a microphone flex cable ribbon, dock connector charging port and a power on-off flex cable.
Here are iPad 3 parts grabbed by the website:
- Dock Connector: Around two months back, we reported that iPad 3 would feature a 30-pin dock connector, which will be smaller in size and have same electrical specifications (first reported by Makotakara). However, the same source now says that the next generation iPad will not incorporate a smaller dock connector , but it sure will have 30 pins. The grabbed port fits well with the cable of iPod, iPhone and iPad models of current generation, but the connector is comparatively shorter and the cable goes slightly deeper into the port.

- Power on/off flex cable: This cable is slightly different from iPad 2 (redesigned), but incorporates similar functionalities (power button, volume button, rotation lock button). This means that all hardware features found in the current generation iPad will remain intact in iPad 3.

- Microphone Flex Cable: It is the microphone cable that cancels noise. Website says that its mating-type connectors are arranged vertically and incorporates a guide hole.

We have seen several leaked iPad 3 parts on the internet before. It was a few days back when we reported that iPad 3 home buttons were found floating in China, and that iPad 3 will be complete makeover of iPad 2 . However, launch date of the gadget still remains in question! Stay tuned for more on iPad 3.
