LTE iPhone 5 Coming in Fall 2012 and LTE iPad 3 in Summer, Says Nikkei Business!
Rumors about LTE iPhone 5 arriving in spring of next year and iPad 3 coming in March have already been floating around for a while. Well, LTE iPhone 5 is ok, but LTE iPad 3? Yes! A website named Nikkei Business reports that NTT DoCoMo (a Japanese carrier) has struck a deal with Apple, which includes the launch of LTE enabled iPad 3 this summer and LTE version of iPhone 5 in the fall of 2012.
Rumors say that Senior Executives of NTT DoCoMo (President Kiyoyuki Tsujimura and Vice President Takashi Yamada) had a meeting with Apple’s CEO last month, during which this agreement was made. As a part of this contract, Apple will be bringing both LTE iPad 3 and LTE iPhone 5 to NTT DoCoMo next year.

Few days back, it was also reported (by the Wall Street Journal) that discussions about launching the next iPhone on the Japanese carrier was going on, but NTT DoCoMo was a bit hesitant because of the sales volume expectations of Apple, and its denial to permit the carrier to add its own applications to the handset. However, the final agreement includes details on sales volume and negotiations on the same have already been done.
Apple may employ Qualcomm manufactured LTE chips in both iPad 3 and iPhone 5. Let’s see!
