Today’s iPhone says that Apple will be launching an iPhone (supposedly iPhoe 5) that is resistant to damages caused by water. A technology named Liquipel will be utilized for this purpose. Liquipel will cover inside and outside of the handset with a nano coating that will act as water repellant and protect it from any water caused impairment. Sources providing this info are being considered as credible ones (by TiP).

The Global Head of Mobile Product, Bill Gadja revealed in a statement that his company has had talks with Apple about their PayWave standard and its specifications. This technology is now being put to other uses such as airport check-ins via loaded mobile phones.
