iPad 3 to be Introduced in February and Released in March, Says Makotakara

A Japanese Apple blog, named Makotakara, reports that Apple is planning an early February introduction of iPad 3 ahead of its launch scheduled in March. The website also adds that iOS 5.1, which is currently under the developer testing phase, will be tagged along with iPad 3’s introduction.

In words of Makotakara -

According to Asian supplier and a source in United States, Apple seems to prepare to hold Special Event in early February.

Because Chinese factory will be in holiday of New Year, then new product is considered to be released in early March.

Apple’s track record shows that it is not in a habit of allowing huge gaps between introduction and launch of a product. Why is it then allowing a one month gap in iPad 3’s case? Well, the blog believes that the workers in Chinese factories will be enjoying holidays due to the Lunar New Year (23rd January to 28th January). So, the company decided to push the launch further.

We already reported a few days back that iPad 3’s production has started and that it will ramp up in February (First by Bloomberg). Makotatakara’s report comes in line and in compliance with Bloomberg’s news of February-March launch of iPad 3 . Let’s see how things turn.
