iPad 3 Cases Being Manufactured to fit Slightly Thicker iPad 2
Sticking to their trait again, case manufacturers have started making cases for yet another product awaiting its launch. After missing the spot on iPhone 5, which was assumed to be thinner, wider and tear-drop shaped, case makers are betting on iPad 3 this time.
Case producers are making iPad 3 cases that have the same form factor as the current generation iPad, except that they are 1mm thicker.
A China-based case maker called Chinee has started selling cases for a device named iPad 2S. These cases are built for iPad 3 (as we call it), which has 1mm of additional thickness than iPad 2. They claim that they came to know about the iPad 3 design through a dependable source in Apple’s supply chain.

New cases are in compliance with the rumor that the iPad 3 will be slightly thicker than iPad 2 in order to accommodate a retina display. Additionally, on the basis of size of the gap on case back (meant for camera), one can infer that iPad 3 may come loaded with larger rear camera lens.
If these cases flaunt the actual iPad 3 design, those expecting a major redesign of the gadget will be hugely disappointed. However, the rumor of “next generation iPad slipping into the production phase” will turn out to be true.
So what do you want? Same old iPad 2-like-iPad 3 in a month or two, or you can wait long enough for the “completely redesigned” next generation iPad? Do tell us!
