iPad 3 Arriving In 3-4 Months, Its Parts On The Delivery Train

iPad 3 is coming to your delight! Yes, as we reported last week iPad 3 could see the light of the day in February 2012  since there remain no technical hurdles to stop iPad from a winter release. The latest buzz is Apple has started taking up orders for iPad 3 components from the OEM contractors while reducing the uptake of iPad 2 parts. Another iPad 3 rumor is that the tablet can sport a thicker body with no increment in screen size. Inclusion of Retina Display in iPad 3 might require equipment with heavy parts and a dual-LED panel probably.

Digitimes reported on Sunday that next generation iPad is expected to arrive in the market in next 3-4 months, by March or April, as Apple’s manufacturing partners in the supply chain have started delivering parts and components for the new tablet member to OEM contractors. The company has reduced demand of iPad 2 parts in order to concentrate on new tablet’s making. iPad has earned itself and Apple the success that it hopes to continue with new iPad’s release by March.

The insiders inform company has planned out subsequent assembling of iPad 3 parts early next year. Presently iPad 2 is in high production phase amounting to 14-15 million units in 4th quarter 2011 itself but this is expected to tailor down to 4-5 million devices by the first quarter of 2012 as then iPad 3 will enter a huge production cycle and old inventory will be cleared out. The news on Digitimes said,

Meanwhile, Foxconn Electronics will begin to produce the next-generation iPads in January and to ramp up the production volume starting February, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report, which quoted Kevin Chang, an analyst of Citigroup Global Markets, as indicating.

Production of the new iPads is expected to reach 9.5-9.8 million units in the first quarter of 2012, estimated sources in the supply chain. Sales of iPad products totaled 25.06 million in the first three quarters of 2011 and are likely to reach 40 million units for all of 2011, the sources estimated.”

iPad 3 is supposed to be hot on screen accompanied with the fastest ever quad-core processor A6 . The most anticipated feature in new iPad is its high resolution OLED display and 4G LTE connectivity. First party case makers have already started making thick iPad cases to fit in 3rd gen iTablet.
